1. Can I get waxed if I am taking medications?
    • Certain medications can cause a reaction when mixed with waxing. Upon visiting, be sure to list all medications you are currently taking on your intake form.
  2. What should I do if I am running late or cannot make my appointment?
    • Contact Chantelle at 618-751-5056 to let her know.
  3. What should I do before, during, and after my Brazilian Wax?
    • Check out my blog titled “Tips for a Great Brazilian Wax”.
  4. Can I bring a friend to my appointment?
    • Sure!
  5. Do you have male clients?
    • Yes my most common services for men are eyebrows, backs, chest, stomach, and arms. However, I do not offer men’s Brazilian Waxing at this time.
  6. How painful is the Brazilian Wax?
    • I use a numbing spray and a hard wax exclusively for the Brazilian. Everyone has a different tolerance for pain, but newcomers tend to respond the same way, saying “That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be!”. If you are worried about the level of pain, you are welcome to take a pain reliever like Advil or Aleve an hour before your appointment time. Try to be on time for your appointment and don’t stress, it’s going to be just fine!
  7. What’s the difference between the Bikini and Brazilian Wax?
    • The Bikini Wax ensures all hair outside the underwear line is cleaned up while the Brazilian Wax removes all hair from the bikini area, front and back.
  8. Can I tan the same day as my waxing appointment?
    • It is not advised to wax over a sunburn or freshly tanned skin as this may cause skin lifting. Also, waxing over a fresh spray tan may remove the tan from that area.
  9. Can I get a Brazilian Wax if I’m on my period?
    • Yes but be aware the area may be more sensitive during your period and a few days before and after.
  10. Will my tattoos or piercings be a problem?
    • If you have a fresh tattoo or piercing, give it time to heal before waxing. I will use a hard wax over your tattoos to ensure it doesn’t fade or blur. Remove your piercing if possible, otherwise I can wax around it.
  11. Can I get a Brazilian Wax if I am pregnant?
    • Congratulations! You may be more sensitive to waxing while pregnant but this is a great way to maintain a clean and tidy bikini area up until your due date. I am mindful of the fact you should not lay on your back for too long and do my best to ensure you are as comfortable as possible throughout the service.
  12. Will I be completely smooth after my wax?
    • Due to the hair growth cycle, it is possible you may have stubble after your first wax. With routine waxing, the growth cycles match up and all hairs are removed together.
